Mohsen Attia, laboratory manager

Mohsen Attia MBChB MMedSci

Mohsen Attia joined us here at The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy in 2020 as Laboratory and Quality Manager.

He has a strong scientific background supported by a Master’s degree in Assisted Reproduction Technology and also in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Mohsen is recognised by the Health and Care Professionals Council as a State Registered Clinical Embryologist / EHSRE certified clinical embryologist and HFEA certified PR. He is both an ICSI and Embryo Biopsy practitioner.

Mohsen began his career in embryology in 2009 at Guy’s Assisted Conception Unit as a trainee Embryologist where he completed his training and obtained HCPC registration as a clinical scientist. He then managed the IVF laboratory at Newlife clinic in Epsom for two years. He was employed by highly recognised IVF clinics including Guys’ ACU, Hammersmith Wolfson fertility and ARGC. He is also an external lecturer in Nottingham University for Master’s students in ART.

Omnia Elhaj, senior clinical embryologist

Omnia Elhaj MBBS MD HCPC registered scientist

Omnia Elhaj is a Senior Clinical Embryologist here at the clinic. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from Sudan and a Master’s degree in Biotechnology of Human Assisted Reproduction and Embryology from Spain.

Her career kicked off in 2006 as an Embryologist Deputy Manager in assisted reproduction. From that point onwards, she embarked on a journey to gain experience in the top clinics in Sudan. This foundation enabled her to progress in international locations spanning from Africa to Europe. Omnia began her career in the UK in 2018 at Newlife and ARGC. She joined The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy in 2020.

Omnia is a crucial member of the team here at The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy and is always attentive to the needs of patients as well as her colleagues. She is skilled in both ICSI and embryo biopsy procedures and is enthusiastic about utilising her skills to positively impact couples on their fertility journey, aiming to provide them with a satisfying and rewarding experience.

Lisa Mori, Clinical embryologist

Lisa Mori BSc, MSc, PGDip

Lisa Mori began her career as a trainee embryologist in Bologna, where she completed a Master’s degree in Medical Biotechnology and a Diploma in Assisted Reproduction. Following this, she worked as junior embryologist in the north of Italy, dealing with patients of all backgrounds and managing the systems and processes of the clinic.

Later, Lisa worked as an embryologist in Florence, where she was able to oversee the complete laboratory treatment cycle, gaining valuable practical experience in the field. In 2024, Lisa decided to move to the UK with the aim of increasing her expertise and extending her knowledge of the technology and techniques used in the field of embryology.

Now, with three years’ experience as an embryologist, she joins the expert team at The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy. Passionate about the job, organised and a team player, Lisa is happy to support both patients and colleagues. She firmly believes that helping people to create a family is the best job in the world.

Lisa’s qualifications also include: BSc in Biotechnology (Pisa), Diploma in Assisted Reproduction (Bologna),  Quality IVF certification, Pre-registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HPCP)

Kyrillos Salib, deputy practice manager & trainee embryologist

Kyrillos Salib MBCHB BSc

Kyrillos Salib is a valuable member of the team at The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy, with medical and scientific background experience as a graduated doctor and scientist. His qualifications include an MBCHB and BSc from Mansoura University (Egypt). He joined the Academy in 2021 with the aim of gaining experience in fertility, reproductive immunology, assisted conception and embryology, and since then has portrayed great enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and notable skill progress within these areas.

In his role as Business Development Manager, he is responsible for developing and driving growth of the clinic. His focus is on continually improving the services we offer, and ensuring high quality care and customer service is achieved in everything we do.

Kyrillos is also a Trainee Embryologist. He displays a discerning interest in embryology, which he is exploring further under the guidance of the experienced team at The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy. Kyrillos is also a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).
