Congratulations on your pregnancy! We offer early pregnancy scans and gender scans to give you peace of mind.
Early pregnancy scan: If you are feeling anxious about your pregnancy we can carry out an early pregnancy scan to give you peace of mind. The earliest time that a gestational sac can be seen in pregnancy is 4 weeks 3 days. An embryo can be seen at 4 weeks 5 days, and in most pregnancies, the heart activity too. However, at The Fertility and Gynaecology Academy we recommend the first ultrasound at 6 weeks at the earliest, when heart activity is most likely to be seen.
Fetal gender scan: We pride ourselves on our skills in correct gender identification as early as 12 weeks.
Dr Eskander has many years’ experience in ultrasound and in gender identification using both vaginal and abdominal scans. In most pregnancies this can be carried out in one visit but a free confirmatory scan may be necessary after one week.
